Final Project Pitch

For my final project in Experimental Video (PHOT-365), I'd like to explore the stylization of film noir while contrasting it with comedic synergy. In a sense, what I hope to create is a strange compound of serious film noir with a 'Charles Chaplin' comedic drive. Perhaps, the final project will be completed as a split screen diptych in order to achieve this comparison. Concepts that I'd like to explore for the film noir portion include: crime, romance, drama, or possibly the mundane attractions of daily life. As for the comedic portion, I was hoping to pick a topic to the complete opposite or acronym of the film noir portion. Therefore, whatever my camera leads as the main drive for the film noir will be paired accordingly with the comedic diptych.
